Building a Mirror Miracle

The kit arrived less the epoxy in a 6 by 4 ft by 8inch crate. The 16 ft aluminium mast was separately packed. Building was straight forward and so was the sailing. However, the sailing club in lake Naivasha sailed only "Fireballs" and my few sails with them on "allcomers" meetings was disappointing. As a novice, we were the last boat to arrive and we felt not part of the overall "clic"
Sold the boat to an Irish Christian missionary in Uganda and he was very pleased with the performance. I did suggest that he sealed up the "open transom" plates because carrying his 4 children brought the waterline over the joining!!
THe last picture is the Portabote that I purchased and used on numerous occasions to troll for Bass, untangling fishermans nets and running the gauntlet of basking Hippos was the norm for the day......but exciting never the less.
